Becky Borlan
Becky Borlan is a multidisciplinary artist with a focus on public art, urban space and landscape interventions. After managing sculptor Janet Echelman’s studio for 3 years, and collaborating with other artists, Borlan started her own public art studio in 2014. Borlan moves fluidly between mediums and materials, looking to create new hybrids and ways of approaching art-making. She has shown at (e)merge art fair 2014, Takoma Park Community Center, ReCreative Spaces and DC Arts Studios. Her public art installation, Prisms, is installed on Rhode Island Avenue in Brentwood, MD. Visit Becky Borlan's website.

Becky Borlan: Bricks, 2016 Location: 824 25th Street NW This acrylic wall references the history of masonry in Foggy Bottom. Multicolored and translucent, the structure offers a new perspective of the building behind and brings together two ubiquitous materials in dialogue: brick and plastic.
